Making the effort to care for your skin can never happen too early. There are many ways that you can integrate a skin care routine at a young age that can change and modify with your skin’s needs. A common mistake many people make when they are moisturizing or using facial products is that they do not take enough time to apply the product. By not properly applying the product it does not work the way it is supposed to, leaving you with wasted product and minimal results. When applying your skin products whether it is face washes, masks, creams or serums make sure that you read the instructions as to how to best apply. Often this includes using circular, gentle motions. Another common mistake that people make when applying skin products is that they use far too much of the product. Remember that using less is more, because using extra product just leads to waste, not better results.

Check Your Skin Routinely

Most changes to one’s skin are seasonal or age-related, but it is important to keep an eye on your skin, especially for signs of sun damage. You should check your skin on an annual basis for any changes including the size, location, texture and appearance of any moles or spots. If you have any skin related medical concerns make sure to speak with your Doctor so that you can receive the right treatment right away. One of the best ways to prevent skin damage is to wear sunscreen always. You should also stay out of direct sun periods during sunny seasons, keep your skin covered and wear a sun hat.
